The Postal Service yesterday afternoon announced the price increases that will be effective in May.  As a class, First Class mail went up 3.77% and Standard mail 3.78%. Automation Letter Rates in First Class went up slightly less.  Some Standard Mail Letter Rates went up by more than the class average.  The Intelligent Mail Full Service Option Price Differential for First Class Mail will be 0.3 cents and 0.1 cent for other eligible classes.  The Postal Service distributed information about its price increase through a DMM Advisory sent out earlier this afternoon; the Postal Service has posted the complete set of its new rates on its website at: http://www.usps.com/prices.
